How DSC Nutrition Program Transformed My Life!
Before joining DSC's Nutrition Coaching Program, I tried to eat healthy.
I was never really one to diet or follow any kind of nutrition program and did not watch portion sizes.
I had always been pretty thin throughout most of my life, but over the past several years I had gained about 30 pounds, was no longer very active and not exercising on a consistent basis.
Once I gained so much weight, I found it more and more difficult to get back on track and did not have much energy.
When I joined DSC I was hoping it would help me to get in a consistent exercise routine.
In recent years, I have really struggled with exercising consistently.
Since I had never been in any kind of nutrition program, I was hoping to learn a lot about what I should and shouldn’t eat and was looking forward to the accountability the DSC Nutrition Coaching program offered.
I was hoping it would help me to eat better on a regular basis.
I was struggling most both with exercising consistently and not eating healthy daily. I was eating out a fair amount.
One of the biggest things I think I gained from the program was the education.
Learning about carbs, fats and proteins, and learning to measure my food and control portion sizes had a huge impact on me.
In addition, although my meals are smaller, I found I can actually have a couple snacks a day so I feel like I am eating more but eating very healthy all day long.
I found that a lot of the snacks on the menu suggestions are delicious so I feel like I am eating something I shouldn’t be, but it is actually good for you.
I am eating out much less and pack my lunch and snacks for the day which makes it so much easier to eat right all day.
I also learned that if I do go out to dinner to pick my poison.
I don’t have to have an appetizer, bread, dinner, dessert and wine. I can just have a glass of wine and pick a healthy dinner and be satisfied.
One day I was on Facebook and I saw an ad come on for the Women’s Group.
I actually was not even thinking about joining a gym since I had never belonged to a gym.
However, I was not feeling great about the way I was eating, the lack of exercise and did not like the way I looked and really felt I needed to do something to change.
I decided to drive over and check it out.
I met Sara who gave me a tour and answered my questions; she was very welcoming from the moment I walked in!
I posted on FB to see what people I knew thought of this gym and one other local gym, and was shocked at all the positive feedback on DSC.
I toured both gyms but had a gut feeling that DSC was the one to join and I am so glad I did!
I decided to join the Women’s Group and I got started right away this past February.
I remember being so nervous on my first day but Renee made me feel right at home.
I initially went two days a week, then upped it to 3, then 4 and then May 1st joined the 6:00 AM Adult Group for unlimited days. I started the Nutrition Program in May as well as the next step towards reaching my goals.
I consistently now go to the gym 5 days most weeks.
Between exercising regularly and doing the nutrition program I am down 25 pounds!
I've dropped a few pant sizes and I feel GREAT!
I have more energy and know that joining DSC's Nutrition Coaching was the best thing I could have for done for myself.
I love the workouts too!
Met-Con days and still struggle some with the Performance classes but I know I am improving every day and that's what matters.
I had never worked out with weights before so my upper strength has been my biggest struggle.
However, I look forward to getting up and going every day.
I can’t imagine my life without DSC!
I would highly recommend the Nutrition Program, the Women’s Group and Adult Group Training.
All the coaches are excellent and very helpful and everyone in the classes encourages each other.
If you are having any hesitations about joining DSC or the Nutrition Program, I would say to put those hesitations aside and just do it!
You won’t regret it!
