How DSC Members Raised $45,000 to Support Our Community
There's no doubt that 2020 has been an incredibly challenging year.
Although it's proven to be difficult, our message at DSC throughout this year has been that hard times, difficult situations, and crisis are an opportunity. They are an opportunity to come together and to support each other more than ever.
We've always looked at Dynamic Strength and Conditioning as more than a gym and more than a place to get into the best shape of your life. Our mission goes well beyond fitness, weight loss, and workouts.
As a leading organization in our community, we feel that it's our mission and duty to strengthen and support our local community.
We are so blessed to have such incredible members (our DSC Family) that share that same mission to give back and to support both each other and our community.
That incredible support and generosity was on full display this year and we could not be more proud.
During one of the most challenging years, our DSC community came together more than ever and raised $45,000 to support our local community.
Let's take a moment to get into the incredible impact DSC has had on our local community this year.
1st: $30,000 raised to purchase iPads for our local hospitals
Back in April we knew we had a great opportunity right away to support those effected with COVID-19 and wanted to find a way to help. Then and now, patients in our local hospitals are going through one of the more challenging times of their lives. With restrictions around visitation, many patients have no means of communicating with their families.
To help this, our Online Charity Workout raised funds to purchase iPads to be delivered to our local hospitals: St. Joe's, Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, Elliot Hospital, and The Catholic Medical Center in Manchester as well as multiple local nursing homes in both Nashua and Manchester!
Our mission was simple: to get as many iPads as possible to these hospitals so patients could communicate with their families during this incredibly difficult time. Upon hearing of our mission, several people shared stories with us of similar circumstances where they were not able to see or speak with their loved ones and how scary and isolating this situation truly is for families.
We opened a donation page online, and also started to sell DSC Family t-shirts for which all proceeds would go to purchasing iPads.
In just a few hours our donation page started to climb and quickly reached over $6,000.
By Saturday, we already had raised over $20,000!
Our Live Online Charity Workout kicked off at 9am and we had over 500 participants working out with us from home and sweating for an incredible cause.
The workout was a blast! You can actually re-live it and give our workout a try below!
Here are some photos of our members after the workout!
Over the course of just 5 days and one online charity workout, our amazing DSC Family community was able to raise $30,000, all of which went to purchasing iPads for our local hospitals and nursing homes.
How unbelievable is that?!

2nd: $15,000 raised to benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter
Once the holiday season and colder weather came, we saw another great opportunity to support our local community.
We put on a Thanksgiving Online Charity Workout to benefit the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter.
The Nashua Soup Kitchen is a non-profit organization providing food, emergency shelter, housing, and advocacy to poor and homeless men, women and families with children in our community.
This year, raising funds for the non-profit organization became incredibly difficult due to restrictions surrounding COVID-19 and gatherings. Additionally, the demand for the soup kitchen and its programs hit an all-time high. Hearing this, DSC and our incredible members were ready and eager to help!
Like our online workout to raise money to purchase iPads for our local hospitals, the mission with our Soup Kitchen Charity Workout was simple: to raise as much money as possible to support our local Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter.
The funds would also be going towards benefiting an extension of the Soup Kitchen: Nashua Meals for Kids.
Nashua Meals for Kids is a citywide partnership working to end childhood hunger by providing supplementary meals to children who would otherwise go hungry.
We opened our online donation page and the incredible generosity started flooding in.
Over the course of just 5 days and one Thanksgiving online charity workout, our amazing DSC Family community was able to raise $15,000, all of which went to the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Nashua Meals for Kids!
We are so incredibly proud of our DSC family.
In a year full of challenging times and hardship, you have all poured your hearts out to support our local community and we could not be more appreciative.
We are DSC family!
